General Policies
Reservations:
To make a reservation at The Fireweed Motel, you must be at least 18 years old. A credit card is required to secure your reservation. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Amex payments through our website. Hotel Management reserves the right to decline any reservation without explanation. Reservations booked without a credit card will be held until 6:00 p.m. on the day of check-in, after which they may be canceled.
Registration:
To check in, guests must present a valid ID, such as a passport, driver’s license, or national ID card and a valid credit card. The person checking in must match the name on the reservation. We cannot allow check-in if the name on the ID and/ or credit card does not match the reservation. Guests cannot check in on behalf of someone else unless their name is listed on the booking. If you need to make changes to your reservation, such as updating the guest names, please contact us before arrival.
Payments:
All payments for bookings will be processed in full 24 hours prior to your arrival (by 12 p.m. the day before check-in). We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Amex for payments. Reservations made less than 24 hours before check-in will be charged immediately, and will not be refundable. Same- day bookings will be charged at the time of booking, and will not be refundable after 12pm.
Cancellation:
Our Cancelation policy is 24hours. You may cancel your reservation free of charge up to 12:00 p.m. the day before your arrival. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled arrival, a charge for one full night will be applied to your credit card. Reservations made less than 24 hours before check-in will be charged immediately, and will not be refundable. Same- day bookings will be charged at the time of booking, and will not be refundable after 12pm.
Check-in / Check-out:
Check-in is available from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. If you are unable to arrive before 11:00 p.m., please notify us in advance so we can arrange an after hour check in. If you arrive earlier than check-in time and your room is not ready, we can store your luggage for you.
Check-out is by 11:00 a.m. If you require a late check-out, please inform the front desk. Late check-outs are subject to availability. If the room is not vacated at the agreed check-out time, Hotel Management has the right to remove the guest and their belongings from the room.
Room Occupancy:
Rooms with one queen bed can accommodate a maximum of two people, and rooms with two double beds can accommodate up to four people. If the number of guests exceeds the stated limit, an additional fee may be charged for each extra guest.
Non-Smoking Policy:
The Fireweed Motel is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not permitted inside any rooms or indoor areas. According to BC law, smoking is prohibited within 6 meters of any public building. If guests or anyone in your party are seen smoking outside their rooms, they will be asked to stop immediately or a $250 fine will be charged to their credit card. Additionally, if smoking is detected inside any room or indoor area, a cleaning fee of $250 will also be charged.
Damage to Property:
You are responsible for any loss or damage to hotel property caused by you, your guests, or anyone in your party. All rooms are carefully inspected by hotel management between guests before check-in to ensure they are in good condition. A minimum fee of $50.00 will be charged for any damages or vandalism or stolen motel items.
Pet Policy:
We accept pets in select rooms for an additional charge. All pets must be registered at or before check-in. Failure to register a pet will result in a $200 cleaning fee. Not all rooms are pet-friendly, so please check availability in advance.
Noise:
To ensure a peaceful stay for all guests, loud noise is not permitted at any time. If noise levels remain unacceptable after a warning, you will be asked to leave the premises immediately, regardless of the time.
Guest Belongings:
Guests are to lock their room doors when not in use. Hotel Management is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings, whether in the room or elsewhere on the premises.
Lien on Guest Belongings:
If a guest defaults on payment, Hotel Management has the right to place a lien on the guest’s luggage and belongings. These items may be detained, sold, or auctioned to recover outstanding dues. Any remaining proceeds after covering the debt will be returned, with the hotel reserving the right to pursue further recovery actions.
Management Rights:
Guests must behave in a respectful manner and avoid causing any disturbances. Hotel Management has the right to request that any guest vacate their room or any other hotel area without prior notice or explanation. Failure to comply will result in the removal of the guest’s belongings by hotel staff, and guest(s) will be asked to leave the premises immediately, regardless of the time, and guest(s) will be black listed.
Prohibited Goods:
The Fireweed Motel strictly prohibits the possession of combustible, hazardous, or illegal items, including but not limited to gambling devices, contraband, weapons, explosives, flammable materials, poisons, and drugs. The guest is solely responsible for any damages or violations caused by such items.
Compliance with Laws:
All guests must comply with applicable laws and government regulations during their stay. This includes all relevant acts, statutes, and rules in force at the time.
